Josh and Anna loved my candid, intimate style of shooting, and we bonded immediately over our love for the outdoors! The pair booked me for their wedding soon after our first meeting, and I met the pair during the summer for their engagement session at Wellesley College. We clicked so well and had so much fun during the shoot that I knew for sure that I was going to have the time of my life documenting their wedding day!

Anna and Josh were married in December at Valley View Farm in Haydenville, MA, on a beautiful winter day full of boundless joy and laughter. This farm is a gorgeous wedding venue with a stunning reception house, separate ceremony hall, and paddocks with beautiful horses! The whole venue creates a rustic atmosphere with a touch of elegance, perfect for this stunning, outdoor-loving couple.

We started the day off in the bridal suite, snapping photos of Anna putting on her jewelry and dress, looking like she walked straight out of a fairytale in her gossamer wedding gown. I took some portraits of her in the suite along with flat lays of her invitation and details, then headed to the cider bar down the hill where the groomsmen were hanging out to grab some shots of Josh getting ready as well!

After both Anna and Josh were dressed and ready, I headed outside to the patio to set up their first look. Anna did a first look with her dad, and then one with her groom. Josh couldn’t hide how stunned he was to see his beautiful bride in her dress, and their moment together was sweet and teary! We went right into their couple session, and spent some time wandering around the grounds taking pictures by the horse paddock, in the elegant antique car, and on the boardwalk. Spending time with the sweet horses was certainly a highlight of the day, and Anna and Josh even got to feed them for some photos!

Due to the chilly temperatures, we only spent a little time taking bridal party photos outdoors, and then stepped inside to get warm and take the rest of the family photos in the beautiful barn-style reception hall. Anna and Josh had half an hour to take a break and get ready for the ceremony, and then the time came for the walk down the aisle!

The adjacent ceremony hall was beautifully rustic and draped in white curtains. Rows of wooden benches lined the interior, and a wooden arbor swathed in a green garland waited patiently at the back of the room for the bride and groom to tie the knot! Guests filed in excitedly, and Josh waited with his breath held as the doors opened and Anna glided down the aisle with her dad.

The ceremony was beautiful, with both Anna and Josh reading personal, heartfelt vows that brought tears to everyone’s eyes. When the pair was finally pronounced husband and wife, Anna literally jumped for joy — it was so wonderful to see how absolutely in love they are with each other! Josh and Anna practically waltzed back down the aisle, and were immediately whisked onto a Jeep decked out in wedding decorations for a joyride around the farm — a surprise planned by their parents!

The reception was a love and fun-filled affair, with delicious food, an emotional first dance between the bride and groom, and eloquent speeches by the Best Man and Maid of Honor. The pair danced long into the night with their friends and family, making it truly an occasion to remember. I had so much fun spending this day with this amazing, romantic couple, and am so happy they found each other as they are so clearly soulmates. Check out some snapshots from this wonderful day below!
