BOSTON Wedding
Photography & VIDEOGRAPHY
While planning out our shoot ahead of time, I could tell immediately that Sheila and Alan were adventurous, engaging, and fun to work with. I discovered that Sheila and Alan had picked up hiking during the pandemic and that Alan had proposed to Sheila on one of their favorite peaks! As a fellow lover of hiking and the outdoors, I could tell that we would be a great fit for their wedding session. With their passion for adventure and hiking, I knew immediately that Walden Pond would be the perfect location for their shoot! Not every couple would be willing to walk the entire 1.5 mile loop around the pond in their wedding garments, but Sheila and Alan leaped at the opportunity, and I was thrilled!
Walden Pond is a very popular recreational area for locals for hiking, swimming, boating, paddle boarding and other water sports. I come to Walden frequently during the summer for some swimming and sunbathing with friends myself, so it was lovely to share it with Sheila and Alan! This reservation is also a beautiful natural refuge and has gorgeous waterside and forest backdrops for photos.
I had a great time getting to know Sheila and Alan better during our shoot as we walked around Walden. We spent two hours walking around the trails, strolling on the beach, and trooping through the woods having the time of our lives! They were amazing people to talk to and work with, and we had such a fun time getting to know each other on our walk and exploring the many beautiful features Walden had to offer. I was really excited by their love for adventure and enthusiasm for the long walk around the pond to get great photos. The cloudy day and autumn hues in the woods really created a magical fairytale atmosphere in the portraits, which Sheila and Alan loved. See some of the shots from the wedding session here!
