Ashley and Steve’s Wedding at Pine Hills Golf Club in Plymouth, MA

Ashley and Steve’s story began when they were just kids. They grew up in the same town and were in the same classes in elementary school, and had overlapping friend groups. However, their paths never truly crossed until after they went to college, when they both ended up going to Cape Cod in 2017 with some high school friends for a Memorial Day get together! There they met, hit it off right away and the rest is history. They got engaged last year, and recently tied the knot and confirmed their dedication to each other for the rest of their lives!

Ashley and Steve were so much fun to work with right from the beginning. I had the privilege of working with them for their engagement shoot, and had a great time getting to know each other (and their sweet dog, Lily) during that session! The happy couple got married at Pine Hills Golf Club in Plymouth this May! Pine Hills boasts beautifully manicured grounds, chic bridal suites for getting ready in, a lovely outdoor tent for the ceremony, cocktail hour on the patio and a rustic-feeling reception hall.

It was a gorgeous, sunny day, and as soon as I stepped into the bridal suite, I knew I was in for a great time. Ashley is the most bubbly, fun-loving bride ever and she brightened every room with her huge smile and infectious laughter! Steve is so sweet and complemented her perfectly with his calm, steady demeanor.

We started the day off with getting ready photos in the bridal prep room. Ashley and her bridesmaids had a blast getting into their dresses, sipping champagne, and hanging out together before the ceremony. Steve and his groomsmen got ready in the stately golf club locker rooms, before going outside in front of the golf club entrance for the first look!

Ashley and Steve planned to take all their formal photos prior to the ceremony, which is generally a great idea because it frees up time after the ceremony for the couple to mingle with guests during cocktail hour! The couples’ dog Lily joined us for a few of the photos, decked out in her own adorable wedding attire. We took bridal party photos by the treeline near the golf clubhouse, and then Steve, Ashley and I hopped into a golf cart and took a tour around the course to get some more couples portraits with just the two of them against a variety of backgrounds! We had a great time driving around and stopping every few minutes to get out and take a few photos in different locations and poses.

We got back to the clubhouse in time to have a little break before the ceremony, which went off without a hitch in front of the gorgeous white doors under the outdoor ceremony tent. Cocktail hour was a lively and joyous occasion, with drinks flowing and plenty of mingling and photos! The reception hall opened up soon afterwards, and Steve and Ashley made their grand entrance as husband and wife, and shared a lovely first dance with each other.

After the best man and maid of honor made their rousing speeches, we enjoyed a delicious dinner before the DJ and live saxophonist opened up the dance floor! Ashley and Steve cut a small cake together, and offered their guests a large assortment of cupcakes and desserts to round out the night. It was truly an amazing day and a night to remember!
