Steff & Julia’s Same-Sex Micro Wedding in Beverly, MA

I had the pleasure of working with Steff and Julia again after capturing their engagement session this past March. They are planning their wedding for June of 2022, but decided to get legally married in December 2021 with just each other! I had so much fun working with them during their engagement session earlier this year and was thrilled that they wanted to book me for their legal ceremony as well as their wedding and reception next year.

Steff and Julia are some of the sweetest people I have ever met, and it is always such a joy to work with them. We started the day off at Beverly City Hall, where Steff and Julia tied the knot with a justice of the peace in a small office ceremony, and signed their marriage license. We took a few shots inside the office and in front of City Hall, and then took a quick trip to their shared apartment for a few photos of them with each other and with their dog!

Although it was bitterly cold, Steff and Julia were true troopers and even jumped at the idea of walking around to a few nearby landmarks, including a gazebo and grassy field, to get a couple more shots! We had so much fun taking pictures and chatting with each other. Steff and I bonded over our shared love for videography as she also works as a videographer at Tufts University, and Julia filled me in about her job change as a library staff member which was the reason for their early legal ceremony! Steff and Julia’s matching outfits with beautiful green tones brought holiday spirit and elegance to the occasion as well as their photos.
