Stephanie & Rod’s Engagement Session at Wildcat Falls in Manchester NH

Stephanie and Rod were a delightful couple to work with! They met while working at Disney at an Epcot internship, and were inseparable ever since. They bonded over being foodies and their love for exploring new restaurants. They now have a dog named Daisy together now and are thrilled about this next step in their lives! Stephanie and Rod actually already got legally married last year during the pandemic, and had to postpone their party as many couples have. They are finally getting to celebrate with their friends and family next year! Their wedding will be at the Roger Williams Botanical Gardens in Providence next summer, and they can’t wait to tie the knot. They have very gregarious family members who are also very excited to celebrate and party with them all night long!

Stephanie and Rod were enthusiastic and animated as we discussed plans for their engagement session. Stephanie planned to wear a gorgeous floral dress to contrast with Rod’s black sweater and maroon slacks. We planned to shoot their engagement session at Wildcat Falls Conservation Area in Manchester, NH, which was a new location for me! This park is a conservation of 87 acres of forest, including a gorgeous river and waterfall (Wildcat Falls) a few minute’s walk from the parking area. This area has great bird watching and wild blueberry picking for those who visit. It was a beautiful sunny day out and we enjoyed every moment of it! I am a huge lover of nature and the outdoors, so going out for a short hike for a photo session is my idea of a fantastic day.

We hiked up a short trail for about 10 minutes to the falls and had so much fun checking out the beautiful views and finding the perfect backgrounds for their shots, stopping every now and then for a few poses in front of the camera. Stephanie and Rod were comfortable in front of the camera from the start and their love for each other was clear in the way they absolutely glowed looking at each other. I made sure to get some photos of their beautiful engagement ring and wedding bands as well, which followed an uncommon and beautiful rose gold theme. We even got the chance to throw my drone up for some aerial shots of Stephanie and Rod at the beautiful gorge! We had a lovely time getting to know each other as they were so easy to talk to. And right after their session, they went to check out a new restaurant in the area as it is one of their favorite hobbies!
