Jennifer and David’s story feels like one of those slow-burn romance movies. They first met back in 2012 in college, in an anthropology class. They were the first two students to show up way too early, which was very on-brand for both of them. Jennifer was shy and introverted, while David… did not stop talking! They became best friends over the course of their time in college.
They lost touch for a while after college, but in 2015 they reconnected and realized the spark was still there. They started officially dating and moved in together. Since then, they’ve built a beautiful life and even have a farm together!
David was the first to admit that he didn’t always think marriage was for him, but he changed his mind after being with Jennifer. October 2022, during one of their annual fall trips, he proposed in a remote treehouse in Maine.
When Jennifer and David were looking for a photographer, they went full detective mode—zooming out on Google Maps, clicking through every photographer in the area! They were drawn to my warm, emotional style of photography, which fit their vibe perfectly. Jennifer wasn’t initially sold on photography being important, but it’s steadily become one of the most important parts of wedding planning for them as time has passed.
Jenn and David picked the Garden at Elm Bank for their engagement session, a stunning location with a mix of elegantly manicured gardens, winding paths, stone staircases, and gorgeous flowers bursting around each corner. We spent their engagement session leaning into that romantic, cinematic feel they love so much.
It was such a joy getting to know Jennifer and David and hearing their story while photographing them. I’m so excited to continue documenting the next chapter of their lives on their wedding day.
