Sara & James’s Engagement Session at Chiesa Farm in Lexington, MA

From our first video call, Sara and James connected with me almost instantly. They were so much fun to talk to, easygoing, and just very genuine people. They were really excited about my work and I was thrilled to meet them. Sara and James knew right away that they wanted to book me for their wedding since they loved my style of photography and I was eager to help them plan out their timeline and work out the finer details of their wedding planning.

I captured their engagement session a few months before their wedding at Chiesa Farm in Lexington, MA. This area is a conservation property that is open to the public and owned by the Town of Lexington. Locals love this location for dog walking, leisurely trail hikes and even goat grazing! This is also one of my favorite engagement session locations, with its rolling grassy fields, stone walls, wooden fences and wooded areas all giving us many different backdrops for beautiful portraits!

It was such a joy to work with Sara and James on their engagement shoot as they were so sweet and friendly (and not to mention extremely photogenic)! I love it when I am able to shoot a couple’s engagement session as well as their wedding, since it gives us a great opportunity to get to know each other, gauge chemistry and a chance for the couple to see firsthand how I work and whether or not they like how I work. Sara and James dressed in gorgeous matching shades of blue/green that contrasted perfectly with the reddish fall colors on the trees. We had a great time wandering around the beautifully rustic field capturing lovely shots in the afternoon light. They even brought a bottle of champagne to pop to celebrate!
